Info

Dua Saleh is a Sudanese-American artist from Los Angeles who has been making waves with her music worldwide since 2017. With her new album, " Of Earth & Wires "—released on May 15, 2026, via Ghostly International—the non-binary artist continues her ascent within the contemporary music world. The album is a resolutely warm, spiritual, and frenetic work that explores feelings of home, humanity, and renewal. Produced by Billy Lemos, who has previously worked with SZA, Paris Texas, and Tinashe, the album features many exciting collaborations and features from artists such as Bon Iver, aja monet, Gaidaa, and others. Saleh tugs at the boundaries of genres, deconstructing indie, R&B, lo-fi hip-hop, and electronic folk with Sudanese folk, UK dance music, and baile folk, creating an intrinsic sound that perfectly reflects Dua Saleh 's story . All of this is enveloped by a bold, forward-thinking production and eye-opening lyrics. Dua Saleh will perform live with her new album at Gretchen in Berlin on Tuesday, July 7th .
Dua Saleh was born in Kassala, Sudan, and fled to the USA with her family at the age of five. Even as a child, writing lyrics became a way to express her feelings and experiences of escape, while singing became increasingly important to her. Her debut single, "First Take," was released in 2017 , followed annually from 2018 onwards by further singles and the EPs " Nūr " (2019), " ROSETTA " (2020), and " CROSSOVER " (2021). Saleh's soulful, dark, and shape-shifting style has not only captivated media outlets like the New York Times and NME, but has also attracted an international audience. Ultimately, it was Dua Saleh's breakout role in the Netflix series "Sex Education" (2021-2023) that propelled her debut album, " I SHOULD CALL THEM, " to international prominence in 2024. “ Of Earth & Wires ” now responds to a moment that was both a turning point in Dua Saleh ’s career and an urgent dialogue with struggles waged on a universal level. Beyond mythological references and planetary narratives, the album impresses with the artist’s strongest and most immediate material to date. Dua Saleh prioritizes love over progress and greed – for divine beauty and the enduring flame of the human spirit.
